Create an Account and Reset Your Password

Before you can connect to the BIL Analysis Ecosystem or deposit data in BIL, you must set up your account. No account is needed to access and download public data deposited in BIL.

1. Create an ACCESS Portal Account

An ACCESS account is required to submit data to the Brain Image Library. The steps to create an ACCESS Portal Account are:

  1.a Visit the ACCESS Website: https://identity.access-ci.org/new-user
  1.b Enter the Required Information and Verify your ACCESS Portal Account

To get an ACCESS Portal Account, visit identity.access-ci.org/new-user and select one of the two options: 1) Register with an existing identity such as a GitHub, Google, Microsoft, ORCID, or University account 2) Register without an existing identity.

Enter the Required Information and Verify your ACCESS Portal Account

Fill in all of the personal information requested, choose your username and password, and complete the verification for your ACCESS Portal Account.

2. Request access to the BIL Data Submission Portal

Send an email to bil-support@psc.edu along with your ACCESS Portal Account. You will receive an email message once access has been enabled. Please allow 24 hours for access to be granted.

  3.e Enter Your Password

Ensure that your Proposed Password Complies with PSC’s Password Policy

To keep accounts secure, PSC has developed a secure password policy. This policy includes a minimum password length and a password character composition requirement. To review these requirements visit: https://www.psc.edu/user-resources/password-policies

Visit the Website: apr.psc.edu

To begin the password reset process, visit apr.psc.edu and click on the gray Start button on the bottom of the screen.

Enter the Required Information

To set (or re-set) your password, you will need to enter your PSC username and the email address that is on file at the center. The username is usually (but not always) the same as your ACCESS portal ID. The email address on file is usually (but not always) the email address associated with your ACCESS Portal Account.

Enter the Security Code Sent in Email

You will receive an email message that contains a unique security code similar to that shown in the following figure:

Enter this code on the webpage and click on the gray Submit button on the bottom of the screen.

Enter Your Password

Enter a new password (twice) that complies with PSC’s password policy

Changing your password

To reset your password, visit apr.psc.edu and select the Begin Password Reset button. Follow the instructions by entering your username an email, and you will be sent a security code to use to finish the password change following the same steps used to set your initial password.
